Alabama Football: Parker Brailsford transferring to Alabama
The Alabama Football team has its center for 2024 in Washington transfer Parker Brailsford. After dealing with season-long issues snapping the football and with the entire offensive line blocking the Alabama Football team adds one of the nation's best centers. As a redshirt freshman Brailsford impressed getting named to the First-Team All-Freshman at Center, All-Pac 12 second team, and was a member of the Nation's Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line. Brailsford was the number one interior offensive line recruit in the transfer portal and the 25th-ranked player overall.
This is a massive upgrade for the Alabama Football team that fills a massive need after losing Seth McLaughlin and Terrence Ferguson to the transfer portal. Pro-Football Focus gives Brailsford an 82.6 pass-blocking grade and an 80.8 run-blocking grade. In 612 pass-blocking snaps, Brailsford allowed just one sack which will be a massive upgrade on an offensive line that allowed 49 sacks in 2023.
The biggest knock on Brailsford thus far has been that he's "under-sized" something he proved wrong in the Sugar Bowl against 6"4 362 pound defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat.
The addition of Parker Brailsford is Kalen DeBoer's second add via the transfer portal after landing his former Quarterback Austin Mack on Thursday. DeBoer is still making a push for several of his former players and commits as Jabbar Muhammad, Germie Bernard, and Noah Carter also visited Tuscaloosa this weekend. The biggest name visiting Tuscaloosa this weekend was former Alabama Football commit Ryan Williams who spent some time at the facility before attending a basketball game with fellow Alabama Football commit Jaylen Mbakwe.
Alabama Football: Here comes the counter punch
For the first week after Nick Saban retired all the news we got was negative as transfers left and players de-committed. Now the Alabama Football team has added two transfer players and may land a few more by Sunday night in former Washington Huskies cornerback Jabbar Muhammad and wide receiver Germie Bernard. Key recruiters in Courtney Morgan, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Freddie Roach, and Josh Chapman have been traveling all over recruiting some of the nation's best players both in-state and out-of-state. In terms of players leaving the Alabama Football program I believe we're near the end but, for players coming in this is just the beginning.
