3. Kobe Prentice - Wide Receiver

While receivers Kendrick Law and Ryan Williams are garnering the most buzz heading into 2024 Kobe Prentice may be the receiver that shines the brightest in Kalen DeBoer's offense. Prentice has served the last two seasons as the fourth receiver in the rotation with 337 yards and two touchdowns in 2022 and 314 yards with two touchdowns in 2023.

While Prentice is undersized compared to the typical receivers we've seen have success in Kalen DeBoer's offense we've also seen Prentice run the tough routes over the middle with success. Prentice has taken slants and in routes for 40+ yard touchdowns creating big run after catch plays in his two seasons at Alabama.

Under receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard we may see Kobe Prentice finally develop into an every-down wide receiver. The Alabama Football team will have its deep threats in Jalen Hale and Kendrick Law but, it'll need a receiver like Kobe Prentice to produce heavily in the short and intermediate passing attack where the team struggled in 2023. In three games in 2023, Kobe Prentice led the Alabama Football team in receiving despite inconsistent playing time.

2. Jihaad Campell - Linebacker

While his fellow linebacking partner Deontae Lawson will get most of the attention in the preseason Jihaad Campbell has an opportunity to have an All-American caliber season. Campbell burst onto the scene when fellow linebackers Trezmen Marshall and Deontae Lawson suffered injuries at points during the year. Campbell finished the season with 66 tackles, half of a sack, two forced fumbles, and an interception.

Campbell will be a dream player for a coordinator like Kane Wommack with experience playing as an inside linebacker as well as playing as an edge rusher. The speed of Campbell will allow Wommack to use him as a chess piece leading to plenty of advantages in coverage and as a blitzing linebacker.

The edge rush group for the Alabama Football team will start the year with relatively no experience which makes having versatile pieces like Jihaad Campbell all the more valuable. Kane Wommack will deploy his talented linebacker duo to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines.
