Four Star Defensive lineman Antonio Coleman flips his commitment from Auburn to Alabama
The Alabama Football team has made a massive flip early on in recruiting the 2025 class flipping Antonio Coleman from Auburn to Alabama. The Saraland native is a four-star defensive tackle ranked as the eighth player at his position and the 92nd-ranked player in the country. Coleman becomes the third commitment to the Alabama Football team's 2025 ranked recruiting class which was ranked 38th nationally before adding Coleman.
This becomes another massive win on the recruiting trail for Kalen DeBoer especially over Hugh Freeze as this becomes the second massive win DeBoer has landed over Freeze. We're still a long way away from Coleman becoming signed and officially a member of the program so DeBoer and his staff will need to continue working to hang onto Coleman.
Kalen DeBoer's move to retain defensive line coach Freddie Roach continues to look like one of his best moves as Coleman cited Roach as one of his biggest reasons for committing to Alabama.
Landing Coleman may also play a pivotal role in landing another one of the Alabama Football program's top targets in Saraland Quarterback KJ Lacey. Coleman will join high school teammate Ryan Williams at Alabama and the duo will play a huge part in attempting to flip Lacey from Texas.
The Alabama Football team will likely lose at least three defensive linemen following the 2024 season so Coleman will be a key part in replacing some of the team's depth.
Alabama Football: Kalen DeBoer continues to silence recruiting questions
When Kalen DeBoer took the Alabama Football job the biggest question around him was his ability to recruit as his classes at Washington were lackluster. Just a few months in on the job and Kalen DeBoer has two massive recruiting wins under his belt after landing Ryan Williams and Antonio Coleman in battles with Auburn and top out-of-state schools. This 2025 recruiting class will play a big part in setting the foundation for what the Kalen DeBoer era looks like and so far he's off to a fantastic start.
