Kalen DeBoer and Alabama Football reel in four-star recruit Jackson Lloyd

Heading into this weekend, Kalen DeBoer and his staff had another strong chance to continue it's massive summer as they hosted another talented group of recruits. Among the players Alabama Football had a chance to close out was talented four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd. The Tide have now landed a commitment from Jackson Lloyd bolstering it's sixth ranked recruiting class.

Jackson Lloyd was one of the biggest priorities for Kalen DeBoer and his staff ranked as the Nation's 6th-ranked offensive tackle and the Nation's 29th-ranked player overall. Lloyd chose Alabama over a final six of Tennessee, Stanford, Oregon, USC and Ohio State but, this race came down to Ohio State and Alabama.

This was one of if not the best jobs Kalen DeBoer and his staff have done early on in his Alabama tenure. Kalen DeBoer and his staff identified Lloyd as a top priority while at Washington and made him the first player the team offered when he took the job. Now the Tide hosted Lloyd on an official visit closing him out before he visited in-state USC.

When Kalen DeBoer and Courtney Morgan came to Alabama the biggest positive recruiting wise was their West Coast ties. Thus far, the duo has brought in three high quality recruits from California in this class with no sign of slowing down. The commitment of Lloyd also gives Alabama its seventh commitment of the summer and six top-100 commitments according to On3.

Alabama Football now has a chance at a massive offensive line class

Thus far, Alabama has three commitments on the offensive line with two top-100 players in Michael Carroll and Jackson Lloyd and an in-state guard in Mal Waldrep. The Tide are also on solid footing with five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood and four-star in-state offensive lineman Micah DeBose. Reeling in both would be massive for Alabama foundationally while landing either would be massive long-term for Kalen DeBoer's squad. Every week, Kalen DeBoer continues to make those who questioned his ability to recruit eat their words as he builds out an impressive class.
