Previewing Alabama Football's second week of official recruiting visits
The Alabama Football team had a great first weekend of official visits culminating in the Crimson Tide flipping quarterback Keelon Russell from SMU. Landing Russell moved Alabama's eighth-ranked recruiting class up two spots passing Georgia and Oregon. The Tide now head into their second weekend of official visits with a chance to lock in a few commitments and build upon a great foundation set by DeBoer and his staff.
Two Alabama Commits return to Tuscaloosa
While current Alabama Football players and coaches will do recruiting this weekend the Tide will have two recruiters in this class on campus. Four-star linebacker commits Duke Johnson and Jaedon Harmon will return to campus and will look to help Kalen DeBoer and his staff. Johnson has been a massive advocate for Alabama since committing and is seemingly calling his shot about Alabama landing another recruit.
Alabama Legacy Returns to Campus
There will be a familiar name returning to Tuscaloosa this weekend as three-star recruit Mal Waldrep comes to Tuscaloosa for an official visit. Waldrep's father also Mal Waldrep played for the Alabama Football team from 1998-2002. We saw the Crimson Tide land a legacy with the commitment of Dre Kirkpatrick Jr last year and if this weekend goes well the Tide may be in a great spot to land another. Waldrep ranks as a three-star recruit as the 39th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 27th-ranked player in the state. The Tide will get the last visit with Waldrep before he commits on June 10th.
