If you sold your Ryan Coleman-Williams stock after last season's sophomore slump, might I suggest buying back in while the price is still low?
Because if Friday's spring practice scrimmage is any indication, the rising junior WR is in line for a massive bounce-back season, as has been predicted by many folks already.
After an electrifying freshman season at just 17-years-old, Coleman-Williams had a tough sophomore year. That's nothing new for star Crimson Tide wideouts, however, and the former 5-star recruit is ready to put all that behind him now.
Armed with a new number - and a new name - Coleman-Williams looks ready for a monster junior year.
And Alabama fans got their first glimpse of it during Friday's scrimmage. You can view Coleman-Williams' highlights from the scrimmage on Instagram by following this link.
The video claims that Coleman-Williams scored three touchdowns during the scrimmage. The first play shows an on-target deep ball thrown by redshirt freshman QB Keelon Russell, connecting with Coleman-Williams, who had completely dusted 5-star freshman CB Jorden Edmonds. Coleman-Williams makes a great grab in stride and sprints down the sideline for a touchdown.
The second throw, which appears to be from Austin Mack, shows Williams fighting through some pass interference by Edmonds to make a contested catch in the endzone for another touchdown.
Those are the only two touchdowns shown in the video, but Coleman-Williams had several other impressive catch-and-runs on the highlight.
Ryan Coleman-Williams seems poised for a massive bounce-back season for Alabama
During Ty Simpson's Pro Day on Wednesday, he was in awe of how Coleman-Williams looked.
"You see how big he is? Simpson asked reporters. "He's gained so much weight. He's grown up. He's a big guy in the room now. I'm so happy for him and so proud of him because I know how much he loves Alabama football. ...Y'all can write it down: Ryan's gonna have a really big year."Â
Alabama has a lot of talent in the WR room around Coleman-Williams with rising sophomore Lotzeir Brooks, NC State transfer Noah Rogers, returning contributors Rico Scott and Derek Meadows, as well as impressive true freshman Cederian Morgan.
But Coleman-Williams looks like the unquestioned No. 1 option. If the first scrimmage is an indication, he looks to be dripping with confidence and poised for a massive season for the Crimson Tide.
