Alabama football recently made the Top 5 for 5-star ATH Brandon Arrington, the No. 1 player in the state of California. Now, with all of his official visits lined up, Arrington has set a commitment date.
Per Hayes Fawcett, Arrington will announce his college decision on July 5th:

Arrington's final five includes Alabama, Oregon, USC, Penn State, and Texas A&M. Arrington is set to visit Tuscaloosa on June 13, just a few weeks before he makes his decision.
Arrington's recruitment is heavily contested. At one point, Alabama was reportedly the team to beat for him. Recently, Oregon has made a big push for Arrington, and some consider the Ducks to be in the lead for his services. The On3 RPM favors Texas A&M, but that is largely due to a prediction for Arrington to land with the Aggies made by Steve Wiltfong back in October of last year.
All five of the programs that made his final cut will get the opportunity to sway him in their direction with official visits this summer. Kalen DeBoer and company have proven to know how to host visitors. Arrington took an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa back in February, and it was off of that visit where Alabama felt it had the lead in his recruitment.
Alabama's California connection has helped in recruitment of Brandon Arrington
Arrington is a native of Spring Valley, California, and Alabama's recent success recruiting in the Golden State has helped its push for Arrington. The 5-star ATH has the ability to play on both sides of the ball, but most likely projects as a defensive back at the next level.
Alabama's secondary features four players who recently joined the program from California. Alabama signed Zabien Brown in the 2024 cycle, as well as landing USC transfer Domani Jackson. In the 2025 cycle, the Crimson Tide added Dijon Lee and Chuck McDonald.
Kane Wommack's willingness to play freshmen early only works in the Tide's favor. Brown became an immediate starter as a freshman last season. Reports out of spring practice indicate that, even with a ton of depth at corner, Lee is projected to see the field a lot as a true freshman, too.
Arrington is certainly talented enough to come in and compete for playing time, too, if the Crimson Tide is able to land his commitment in July.
