Spring practice is coming to a close for Alabama with the A-Day game coming up on Saturday, April 12th. With the Crimson Tide severely banged up and thin at multiple positions, and with a much different A-Day concept this year, there isn't a lot of intrigue surrounding the game on Saturday.

There's plenty of intrigue, however, in that the Crimson Tide is hosting a big recruiting weekend. Plenty of high-level prospects will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend as Kalen DeBoer and company continue building momentum for their 2026 recruiting class.

On Monday, Alabama got confirmation of two more visitors who will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend in a pair of 5-star prospects.

First up, 5-star safety Jett Washington from Las Vegas will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Washington is ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect and the No. 3 safety in the 2026 class per the 247 composite rankings. Washington is the nephew of the late, great Kobe Bryant.

5-star RB Ezavier Crowell from Jackson, AL, will also be in Tuscaloosa for A-Day. Crowell reclassified into the 2026 class and is the No. 28 overall player and the No. 2 RB in the 247 composite rankings.

Alabama is considered the leader in Crowell's recruitment.

Both Washington and Crowell have planned official visits to Alabama for later this summer.

Alabama football is on the brink of a big recruiting run

Alabama is involved with a lot of the nation's top prospects in the 2026 class and it seems like it's only a matter of time before the Crimson Tide go on a big recruiting run. As things currently stand, Alabama holds four commitments in this class, headlined by 5-star CB Jorden Edmonds, who committed to the Crimson Tide a couple of weeks ago.

Alabama seems to be in for a big bounce-back in state in 2026. After signing just two players from the state of Alabama in the 2025 class, the Tide is rumored to be in the lead for the three highest-rated recruits in the state in the 247 composite rankings. Along with Crowell, Alabama is sitting in a good spot with Mobile edge rusher Anthony Jones and Alexander City WR Cederian Morgan. The No. 4 player in the state for 2026, CB Zyan Gibson from Gadsden, has already committed to Alabama.

By the time the next domino falls for Alabama in this class, expect several to follow as the Crimson Tide's recruiting momentum continues to pick up.
