Just three days before the No. 17 Crimson Tide took on the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson signed one of the best NIL brand deals available: Gatorade.
Simpson, who finally became the Tide's starting QB this season (his fourth year at Alabama), has lived up to the expectations, unlike some other quarterbacks in the SEC.
Even including the Crimson Tide's disappointing start to the season, Simpson has earned nearly 900 passing yards for nine touchdowns and zero interceptions, while also gaining 45 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
Now, the NIL deals continue to roll in (get it?) for Simpson, especially as Alabama flies toward its conference schedule.

Recently, Simpson also signed a deal with Hugo Boss, as well as EA Sports, Raising Cane's, Holister, Panini, and Topps. Not to mention, Simpson partnered with the Alabama-centered NIL collective, Yea Alabama.
At the moment, Simpson's NIL value is rapidly approaching $1 million, according to On3's NIL Valuation.
Following his 407-yard performance against the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 3, Simpson and the Tide had a week off before turning their focus to the SEC, and specifically, the Georgia Bulldogs.
This will be Simpson's first time playing against the Bulldogs, but he has played against SEC opponents before, including Ole Miss, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Mississippi State, during his first three seasons with the Tide.
So far this season, the veteran quarterback has earned an average QBR of 81.5, peaking at a 99.4 rating when he and the Crimson Tide blew past the UL-Monroe Warhawks in a 73-0 victory.
This Saturday, No. 5 Georgia and No. 17 Alabama will begin their conference schedules at 6:30 p.m. CT on Oct. 4, and the rivalry matchup will be broadcast on ABC.
