Tennessee defensive end Jonathan Kongbo is giving the Crimson Tide bulletin board material before the season starts…again.

It seems there is one of these every single week. There have been definitely more of them here recently. If you notice, it’s the teams that struggle more during the season that usually run their mouth.

Perhaps they could heed some advice from Coach Nick Saban. Control what you can control. Worry about your own game before you start to worry about someone else’s. Not everyone can have a Coach Saban.

More from Bama Hammer

You may remember Mr. Kongbo from a few weeks ago. He was the Tennessee signee that was working out in front of a dry erase board that carried the message to warn Alabama that the Vols were coming. Excuse me while I sit here and cower in fear.

Well, he is back at it again. You could say that the young man is confident. Yeah, that’s a good and safe word.

In an interview with RockyTopInsider.com, Kongo had this to say about trash talk from Florida and Alabama in general.

"“Well I mean, I just kind of laughed at it because I know we’re going to beat Florida. I know we’re going to beat Alabama. We’re going to beat all those teams. So I’ll say right now, we’re going to beat every team we play next year. I just really laughed at it, especially the comments that Jalen made. It was funny. We’ll see what Jalen Hurd does to him though.”"

I don’t know if I could display that much confidence in playing two teams that have owned the one that I signed to play for in the next season.

"“I mean, kind of the main thing is, if you want to be the best you got to beat the best. And we know Alabama won the national championship this year and the message that I’m sending to them is that ain’t no one around here scared of that. We’re coming for them. It’s football so once the pads are on, you’ve got to figure out how to win so we’ll see.”"

The last part is true, though. It’s a different game when you get the pads on and it’s one the Vols usually lose to the Crimson Tide. See you in Neyland. Lane Kiffin sends his regards to the people of Knoxville.
