Alabama Baseball Falls 3-2 at Samford on Walk-off Home Run

"Alabama baseball suffered a walkoff loss at Samford, 3-2, as the Bulldogs homered with one down in the ninth for the win. Following the midweek game, the Crimson Tide is now 24-18 overall."

Well. Bama baseball lost. Again. Tuesday night, the Tide fell the Samford Bulldogs in a 3-2 contest that ended with a one out, two run homer in the bottom of the 9th. Alabama’s overall record is now 24-18 facing a Thursday-Friday-Saturday series at home against a different Bulldog team: SEC rival #3 Mississippi State. According to RollTide.com, Alabama men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams broke more than a dozen of UA records this season, so last night they held a ceremony at the University’s Aquatic Center to celebrate. Alabama Softball Ranked Number 4 for 4th Straight Week

"Alabama softball’s series win at home against 11th-ranked Kentucky helped the Crimson Tide maintain its No. 4 ranking for the fourth-straight week in both the USA Today/NFCA poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, released Tuesday."

For the 4th week in a row, Crimson Tide softball has been ranked #4 in both of the major polls. With an impressive 41-9 overall record, Bama’s women are besting the men’s baseball team by quite a bit – proving that, as suspected, Girls Rule and Boys do in fact Drool. The Tide will travel to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks in a three game series starting Friday, April 29th.
