Women’s Basketball is a game of four quarters. The Lady Crimson Tide tied the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in scoring in two quarters and outscored them by seven in the fourth quarter. The second quarter was the difference as Alabama Basketball lost 76-66 in the Elite 8 of the Women’s NIT. Alabama head coach Kristy Curry explained to rolltide.com
"“It was one of those days where we couldn’t make shots. It’s 17-17 after the first and 17-17 after the third. We outscore them by seven in the fourth. It’s that second quarter that jumped up and caught up with us. We have a lot to build on, a lot to be proud of and a lot to move forward with in the future.”"
Kristy Curry is absolutely right. This season was a great example of the hard work and dedication that the Lady Crimson Tide players and the coaching staff have put into the program. Alabama Basketball will end the season with a 22-14 record which is the highest win total for the program since 1998.
