You asked it, we answered it. Tonight, Meredith takes us through some of the most asked questions this week.

Here’s the latest edition of BamaHammer’s Ask Us Anything.

ICYMI: Alabama Football: Your Guide to A-Day 2016

I’ve officially been a co-editor here at BamaHammer.com for almost a week now. I’m getting into the swing of things and starting to find my groove.

One thing that has been AWESOME is the response I’ve gotten from you, the readers.

Thank you so much for welcoming me with your tweets, comments, and emails. I’m truly honored to be here and look forward to bringing you some of the latest and greatest in the world of Crimson Tide athletics.

Since I’m still new here, I thought I’d take time to answer some of the questions I’ve been sent the last few days so you can get to know me better. I will always reply to you individually to let you know I received your questions or comments, however, it’s a bit easier for me to answer some of the most common questions right here.  So…here we go!

*Have you always been an Alabama fan? – from Twitter user @BamaFan4Life100

Sadly, no. I was one of those poor children that grew up in a House Divided. I waffled between Alabama and Auburn often in my early years, despite attempts on both sides of my family to get me to cheer for one team or another. My dad and grandfather took me to my first Bama football game (against LSU at BDS) when I was in elementary school, and my interest in all things crimson was sparked. When the time to choose a college rolled around, I received scholarships to several  universities; my mom wanted me to go to Ole Miss, and my dad wanted me to go to Tennessee. Alabama was actually the one place not a single member of my family wanted me to go – which of course meant that it was exactly where I would end up. Just 2 days after my high school graduation, I moved to Tuscaloosa, where I would stay for the 3.5 years it took me to earn my bachelor’s degree.

* Is writing for BamaHammer your only job? – Submitted via email from Daniel Sloan

Nope. As fantastic as this is, writing doesn’t exactly pay the bills. It’s the most awesome Bonus Job ever, though, and I’m thrilled to have it.

* How did you get into sports writing? – from Twitter user @Ben_BundySB

More from Bama Hammer

Totally by accident. I kept a personal blog just for fun, and the link to it got submitted to a fledgling online publication that was in search of writers. They asked me to give it a try, I said yes, and a hop, skip and a jump later, here I am.

*How did you learn so much about sports? – Submitted via email from Lindsay Griffin

Interestingly enough, I learned about football from my mother. Mom is a DIE HARD football fan. Her father was a football and baseball coach, so she learned from him, and in turn, taught me. Having been a pitcher himself, my dad taught me all about baseball. I spent the better part of my younger years in the bleachers at the Hoover Met watching the White Sox’s minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons (you know, that team Michael Jordan played for when he lost his mind and wanted to be a baseball player in ’96).  And lastly, to be completely honest, I spent time studying other sports because it gave me something to talk about  with friends when I was in college.

*Do you really like macaroni? – from Twitter user @GumpNNate

Yes. Yes I really do.

*What’s your favorite Bama football moment? – from Twitter user @BigBam3

I’ve never been lucky enough to attend one of the Tide’s playoff or National Championship games. That being said, Tyrone Prothro’s “The Catch” against Southern Miss in 2005 and the Alabama at Georgia game in 2008, now called “The Blackout”, are two of my favorite in-person memories.

*What’s your LEAST favorite Bama football memory? – from Twitter user @BigBam3

The Shula Years. All of them.
