Crimson Tide Report: Saban, Baseball and an Irate Barner
The magic of Nick Saban has once again lead to some fantastic stories today. Not only did he have zero patience with the media’s incessant badgering yesterday, he also caused quite a stir on Facebook simply by sitting in a recliner.

Anytime Alabama Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban is near a microphone, we usually get a pretty worthy soundbite. When Nick Saban is annoyed and near a microphone, we ALWAYS get something impressive.
Yesterday was no exception. Before teeing off at the Regions Tradition ProAm in Birmingham, Saban mic-dropped on nosey reporters who continued to pry into the arrests of Cam Robinson and Lawrence “Hootie” Jones.
Here is a video posted by AL.com showcasing the Crimson Tide’s head honcho shutting everyone up, for at least a day or two.
In actual Crimson Tide news, Alabama baseball kicks off the last three home games of the regular season at the New Joe tonight against South Carolina. The Gamecocks are currently ranked tenth in the nation, so this will likely be a difficult series for the Tide. Alabama Baseball’s twitter, @AlabamaBSB, tweeted this morning that we want to #PackTheJoe for all three of these games before we send our boys to the SEC Tournament in Hoover next week. Lastly, and just because it’s Thursday and we all need a laugh, BamaHammer’s Facebook page was indeed hammered in the comments by an irate Auburn fan.
The Barner, who’s Facebook page listed his CURRENT EMPLOYMENT as “Athletic Operations and Facilities” at Auburn University, left some unwholesome remarks on the picture posting of Nick Saban chilling out in a recliner at the Regions ProAm. The comments included slams on the University of Alabama AND our Mamas, and were mysteriously deleted shortly after they were posted.
