Smaller stories still make interesting news, and that’s what’s going on at the Capstone this beautiful Wednesday morning. The Crimson Tide women are gearing up for tomorrow’s softball matchup at the WCWS, and Jim Harbaugh of Michigan is trying desperately to get attention by trashing Alabama Crimson Tide football head coach Nick Saban.

Alabama softball arrived in Oklahoma City yesterday, per RollTide.com, and the ladies of the Crimson Tide are ready. Bama will be taking on the Oklahoma Sooners on day one of the Women’s College World Series, marking the Tide’s 11th appearance in the elite tournament. Most of us can’t make it to OKC by tomorrow, so let’s be sure to tune in to ESPN2 at 6p.m. Central Time to cheer on our Crimson Tide!

I’d talk about how track and field isn’t doing so hot right now, with the Alabama men’s team currently ranked 11th in the country and the women dropping to 37th, but most of you don’t really care. I’ve put links to this story, along with ones about golf and women’s basketball in the “More Crimson Tide News” section of today’s Tide Report in case you’re one of the six people who are interested.

Jim Harbaugh decided to subtweet Nick Saban yesterday, a strange and decidedly stupid thing because CNS doesn’t even have Twitter.

Most people agree that Harbaugh is only trying to get some attention for his ailing Michigan Wolverines, who’ve had sub-par seasons since he took the helm. One thing is for sure: Nick Saban won’t comment on this, probably ever.

More from Bama Hammer

Saban is never disrespectful towards other coaches, even the ones who repeatedly bash the Crimson Tide. He always worries more about what his program is actually doing that what anyone SAYS is going on, and you can bet the farm that Coach Saban doesn’t give a rat’s behind what other coaches think of him. Harbaugh is throwing shade about things he doesn’t even know, and is again showing why no one takes him seriously in the college football world. On the plus side, Alabama did get some free press coverage out of this, and Michigan ended up looking ridiculous, reflecting its clown of a head coach.
