It’s Thursday, Crimson Tide fans! Today is a big day for a pair of Bama football players, and could be another score for the Tide’s recruiting.

ICYMI: NFL.com Says Nick Saban Best At Developing Talent

The biggest news of the hour is that Crimson Tide players Cam Robinson and Lawrence “Hootie” Jones are scheduled to have their arraignment in Louisiana at 2:30pm Central Time. Robinson and Jones were arrested May 17th and charged with several misdemeanor counts and Robinson tacked on one felony weapons possession to his rap sheet as well. BamaHammer will bring you the latest information about the two Bama players, as well as any statements from Nick Saban or the University, as soon as they are made available.

Four-star running back Anthony McFarland of DeMatha Catholic school in Hyattsville, Maryland is visiting the University of Alabama today, per BamaOnline’s Twitter page. The all-purpose back is said to be interested in the Crimson Tide, the Maryland Terrapins, and the Miami Hurricanes. Bama has had a major month for recruiting, and the trend of scoring top athletes is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Finally, just a week after announcing that visiting marching bands would no longer be allowed to perform at halftime at Tiger Stadium, LSU has released a statement overturning their original decision. Some have said the Tigers simply got tired of hearing Yea, Alabama and Rammer Jammer played so often in Death Valley, and that this was a move to keep the Million Dollar Band out of Baton Rouge. Nice try, LSU, but you’ll have to work harder than that to shut down the Crimson Tide.
