The Crimson Tide drops in one preseason poll, UA hires workers with disabilities, and Nick Saban tells a fraternity to get off his lawn.

ICYMI: Alabama Football’s Scott Cochran: Worth Every Cent

Well, it finally happened. The Alabama Crimson Tide is NOT ranked number one in a major preseason poll. Phil Steele’s College Football Magazine is set to be released tomorrow, Tuesday June 28th. When readers open it, they will discover that Bama is actually ranked number two, behind the Florida State Seminoles. Rounding out Steele’s top five are LSU, Oklahoma, and Clemson.

So did Phil Steele fall asleep and accidentally type the wrong ranking when he created his projections?  Did someone point out his error too late? Or is he just completely crazy? Let us know what YOU think in the comments here, on Twitter, and on Facebook.

While it’s not directly Alabama football news, or even athletic news exactly, it’s important to share this story because not many people know it. The University of Alabama is very much involved with organizations that support children and adults with disabilities – but did you know UA regularly makes it a practice to hire workers with disabilities? The Tuscaloosa News published a feature on two of the employees this weekend, and the story is wonderful. This is definitely your feel-good, maybe-Monday-isn’t-so-bad click of the day.

Lastly, Nick Saban got tired of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house sitting smack-dab in front of Alabama football’s Bryant-Denny Stadium, so he essentially told the brothers, “Get off my lawn!”

Only kidding! Well, sort of.

It hasn’t been stated for SURE why the fraternity house was completely destroyed last week. Yes, Phi Kappa Psi is getting a big, new, beautiful house closer to the legit Fraternity Row on University Boulevard. And while it seems great to just tell people that the new house is the soul reason for the move, it’s definitely interesting (and funny) to think about Saban on the phone at his desk saying, “I don’t care how long it’s been there. That thing is in MY yard and I don’t like it!”

Have you ever known Nick Saban to not get what he wants?  Yeah…we haven’t either.
