A very confident Georgia fan got an impressive tattoo this weekend.
ICYMI: Alabama Football Gets Violation For Impermissible Decoration?
Let me start by saying that I’m all about some good ink. I love how tattoos tell a person’s story in a way that only a picture, symbol, or special piece of writing can convey. I think tattoos are truly a form of art and can be stunning – that is, if they’re done correctly.
There are a few guidelines for getting a “Good” tattoo, and not ending up on the television show “Bad Ink”.

First, make sure everything is spelled correctly. It IS permanent, after all. You don’t want to walk around with the word “Angle” inked on your arm if you really meant it to read “Angel”.
Second, placement is key. It’s important to make sure that the space on your body is accommodating to the design you choose. For example, a tattoo on the wrist needs to be far enough down do that the ink doesn’t look squished when you bend your hand.
Third, you might want to be certain that whatever you say is actually true.
This overzealous Georgia football fan followed rule number one well. “National” and “Champs” are both spelled correctly. It’s hard to judge placement, so rule number two is moot.
But unless he has a psychic ability and powers of wizardry, it’s doubtful that his tattoo will actually be true come January 2017.
This picture was posted on The Real NCAA Talk’s Facebook page Monday, and it’s sparked some interest among college football fans. Most UGA supporters are excited about their new head coach, Kirby Smart, and with good reason. Smart was the defensive coordinator for the University of Alabama from 2008-2015, so it’s safe to say that he understands what is necessary to win, and everyone expects great things from him and the Georgia football program.
However, the 2016 season will be Smart’s first year EVER as a head coach. And it is important to mention that the Georgia Bulldogs haven’t won a national championship since 1980.
I wasn’t even born yet.
Even ESPN doesn’t have Georgia football ranked in the Top 10 – in their “Way Too Early Top 25 Poll”, the Bulldogs came in at 13th. That’s a fantastic place to start, and obviously fans are looking forward to seeing more Ws on the board this year.

Everyone can appreciate the excitement we all feel as football season approaches, but getting inked with a “National Champs ’16” tattoo is a little presumptuous for any college football fan. Even Nick Saban himself wouldn’t bank on a win until the clock hits 00:00 – and if he has any tattoos, we have yet to see them.
