Wednesday’s Crimson Tide Report covers everything from recruiting to college football polls, to the NFL’s Patriots.
ICYMI: Bear Bryant Just Won Another National Championship
Everyone knows that the Associated Press publishes a preseason poll ranking the top college football programs of the coming season (the Crimson Tide is currently ranked number one), and then publishes a new poll each week throughout the September-January months. Yesterday, the AP announced that it will release another list of top college programs, but this time, it will be the top 25 of ALL TIME. This is the first time the AP has done anything like this, so the results should be interesting to say the least. The All-Time 25 is expected to be released August 2nd. Where do you think the Alabama Crimson Tide will land?
Alabama Crimson Tide is expected to score yet another four-star commitment tomorrow in Jerry Jeudy. 247Sports and BamaOnline’s Crystal Ball shows the wide receiver out of Pompano Beach, Florida at 96% Crimson Tide and just 4% Miami Hurricanes. BamaHammer will keep up with the recruit to see if the predictions ring true. More recruits are expected to make their decisions in the coming days and weeks, so hang with BamaHammer to get the latest in Crimson Tide commitments.
And lastly, former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back/safety Vinnie Sunseri signed with the New England Patriots earlier this week. Vinnie was a standout at Bama from 2011-2014, and recorded some outstanding statistics while playing for the Tide. Originally signed by the New Orleans Saints, Sunseri was quickly placed on injury reserve due to an arm injury, and eventually waived. Congrats on the new contract, Vinnie!
