Former Auburn running back Jovon Robinson was dismissed from the team on Wednesday and in the Bama Hammer way, we searched Twitter.

ICYMI: Should Latest Transfer Cause Worry?

Robinson’s dismissal was announced by Malzahn at his press conference on Wednesday per Al.com.

He was expected to have the starting role at running back when the Tigers got their 2016 season underway, but that ended on the first day of fall camp.

More from Bama Hammer

Not any set of fans builds up their players for awards than the Auburn folks. It happened last year with visions of Jeremy Johnson accepting the big one in December and then hoisting a national championship not too long after that.

Truth be told, I went into this search hoping for “Jovon Robinson will win the Heisman” tweets. And I did get a few of them. However, some of the other ones made me laugh just as much as those and in some cases even more.

Before we go to the results, let me just say how wonderful it is to be talking football on a somewhat normal basis. I didn’t think you would ever return, baby.

Let’s see what we can find.

Do you want to tell them or should I do it?

Well, two out of three ain’t bad, I suppose.

If Coach Anderson tweets the lottery numbers, let me know. He used the correct verb tense back in April.

Twitter recruiter could have gone with Jovon Robinson’s “last game in Jordan-Hare”.

Someone’s schedule just came open.

I’m going to go with no here.

I don’t think so, Tim (Al Borland voice).

Under.

Still going with under. Living on the edge. Okay, let’s grab a few Heisman tweets and wrap this thing up.

Some of these are from 2015 which proves hope springs eternal in Lee County.

And we hit the two-for-one!
