Alabama football’s best 5-star prospects: 40-36

40. Trey Sanders

I debated about excluding Trey Sanders, but he at least has some workouts under his belt. He will serve as the second-string running back in 2020, and he’s going to shock some people. If he is fully healthy, expect him to get a large chunk of touches in both the running and passing game this season. After Najee Harris goes and plays in the NFL, Alabama will still be in good hands. Needless to say, he will shoot up this list in a year.

39. LaBryan Ray

LaBryan Ray had a great sophomore season, but injuries kept him from contributing heavily last year. Alabama will be without Raekwon Davis, but Ray coming back healthy will have a major impact. Some even believe that he will work his way into the first round of the NFL Draft.

38. Ben Davis

Ben Davis still hasn’t worked his way into a key contributor role despite how long he’s been on the team, but he’s getting closer by the day. 2020 will be Ben Davis’s year, and he might slide his way up the board over the course of the season.

37. Trey DePriest

This might be low, but we are finally reaching the players who have played a pivotal role for the Crimson Tide. Trey DePriest was a starter at linebacker, but he limited what Alabama could do due to his speed.

36. Robert Foster

Robert Foster is still on an NFL roster, but his production with the Tide was never stellar. He was supposed to follow in the footsteps of Amari Cooper and Julio Jones, but he played second fiddle to Calvin Ridley. Foster’s senior year was when Ridley saw a ridiculous percentage of targets due to the lack of versatility on offense.
