Keys for Alabama football to dominate vs. Arkansas

3. Alabama must keep the quarterback in the pocket

It is not yet known who will start for Arkansas against the Crimson Tide. Feleipe Franks has been the starter all season, but a rib injury kept him from playing in Arkansas’s last game against the Missouri Tigers. We’re not sure if he will be available against Alabama football.

In all honesty, Franks’ availability does not matter. Either way, the Tide need to contain the quarterback and keep him from scrambling for first downs. Keeping the QB in the pocket and forcing it to collapse from the tackles.

This gives Will Anderson a great chance to grow as a player. All freshman year, he has been doing his job well. However, the production hasn’t been there until the past couple of games. His speed can help contain whoever ends up taking snaps for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

If the Hogs are forced to win this game with Feleipe Franks’ arm, they will lose miserably. This would let the Alabama defense be proactive as opposed to reacting to what Arkansas does offensively.

It should be fun to watch how this defense handles the Arkansas offense. They have improved each and every week. This week should be no different. It’s Alabama’s last chance to flex before they play in the SEC Championship, so expect great things defensively.
