NFL landing spots for Alabama football’s Landon Dickerson

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

Landon Dickerson just looks like a Steeler. He would bury his nose and win in the trenches on every play, and that is just what is expected in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have an aging offense, and they need help in a lot of places. With the offensive line aging, they need to add youth in a few spots as they try to protect Big Ben for the rest of his career.

This fit wouldn’t have made sense a few days ago, but the announcement of Maurkice Pouncey’s retirement changes the equation. Big Ben has relied on Pouncey for the past few years, and he needs a new center to rely on as soon as possible. Dickerson will be ready to start as soon as he is healthy, and he can be trusted in the trenches.

While this fit makes so much sense, it remains slightly unlikely. The Steelers have plenty of needs. They need a quarterback of the future, a new running back and help all over the offensive line. They could also do with some youth on defense. With so many needs, they might not look to get a center in the first round. Dickerson will likely be gone by late in the second round. However, this is all about fit. If the Steelers draft Alabama football‘s Landon Dickerson, both parties will win.
