Kalen DeBoer has himself a good one. With Elijah Haven committing to Alabama out of his native Baton Rouge on April 25, all eyes are on his upcoming visit to Tuscaloosa. He will be making his official visit on Friday, June 5. The five-star standout out of The Dunham School is every bit the blue-chipper any head coach worth his weight in salt could ever covet. He seems firm in his commitment.

Leading up to his official visit, Haven told Justin Smith of Touchdown Alabama why he picked Bama.

"Yeah, I feel great. Being from Louisiana, people like for you to stay in The Boot. Me and my family felt that Alabama was the best fit for me and best decision for our family moving forward in the future."

This was a very well-thought-out answer, one that suggests there will be no wavering on his behalf.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Haven is the No. 4 player from Louisiana, the No. 1 quarterback in the country, and the No. 22 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle. 247Sports actually views him even more favorably than does its composite index. It has him as the No. 1 player from Louisiana and the No. 2 overall prospect in his class. Haven is every bit the must-get recruit...

Of course, he did commit to Alabama six months after four-star Trent Seaborn did back in October.

Elijah Haven, Trent Seaborn discuss their Alabama football intentions

Haven and Seaborn discussed their working relationship in this video put together by 247Sports.

"I believe both of us are all-in to what Bama is all about. Trent is a competitor and so am I. I think that's going to be huge for the quarterback room, and for our relationship down the road. We're just trying to push that model together that Bama is the place to be. So just looking to do that together and build this Bama program back."

After hearing Haven's thoughts on the matter, Seaborn could not say enough nice things about him.

"I've really, really gotten to know Elijah. He's just absolutely wonderful. I love him so much. I'm so excited to get up to Tuscaloosa with him and to compete with him, but also just build each other up. That's what this weekend was all about. He's my roommate right now. We both get along super well."

Seaborn then shared a detail about a photo DeBoer sent them ahead of their upcoming official vists.

"Coach DeBoer actually texted us last night a picture of both of us, and he was saying how he loved it. He's got his OV next week. Mine is the weekend after. We're going to be recruiting our tails off to help build up this class."

Seaborn will be making his official visit to Tuscaloosa the week after Haven does on Friday, June 12.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Seaborn is the No. 15 player from Alabama, the No. 22 quarterback in the country, and the No. 298 overall recruit in his class. 247Sports also views Seaborn more favorably than does its own composite index. The Alabaster, Alabama native is seen as the No. 12 player from The Yellowhammer State, as well as the No. 14 overall quarterback in the 2027 cycle.

Even if folks on the outside want to poke holes in it, their body language says they will be copacetic.

Elijah Haven plans to build a better Alabama alongside Trent Seaborn

It may be more uncommon know than in years past, but it is not completely unheard of for two marquee quarterbacks to be in the same recruiting class. While only one can be on the field at a time, both will need to help each other out to be in the best position possible to take the baton from either Austin Mack or Keelon Russell. This goes back to the notion of how DeBoer is setting himself apart.

He wants his kind of guys. DeBoer is not afraid to assemble smaller recruiting classes than what Alabama fans have grown accustomed to. From an outsider's perspective, it may be a tad unorthodox from what fans grew accustomed to under Nick Saban. DeBoer is of the belief he can win with high-character individuals, above all else. Clearly, Haven and Seaborn seem to check that box in spades...

So, as Haven and Seaborn look to build up this class, let it be known that they are doing this together. While much of the more recent focus has been on that of five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales out of Indianapolis, perhaps these two quarterbacks will be the straws that stir the drink in Tuscaloosa? Either way, anything and everything we are hearing coming out of Alabama about Haven is positive.

At this time, let's all just sit back and watch these two personable quarterbacks go do their magic.
