Early Fall Camp Alabama Football win prediction of 10 wins and seven 'locks'

Only once in the last 17 seasons has Alabama Football failed to win 10 games. The Crimson Tide will get to 10 wins in 2025 and it will happen during the regular season.

Why not a crazy, as in a still too soon, Alabama Football wins prediction? Four practice sessions into Fall Camp should be too early for a bold prediction, but maybe not. A couple of weeks ago, I offered a prediction of six regular-season 'lock' wins for the Alabama Crimson Tide. I now bump the locks up to seven.

Previously, my six 'locks' were FSU, ULM, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Eastern Illinois, and Tennessee. I am adding Auburn to the lock list. Among Auburn fans, confidence in the Tigers has waned to such a point that Freeze is on the edge of losing the fanbase. The Tigers will be an improved team, but I give the Tigers an over/under of 2.5 losses in the first month of the season.

After setting Auburn's goal at making a bowl game, Freeze has expressed more optimism, "We’re expectant of being a really good football team that competes in every game and has a chance to win every game." Fly War Eagle responded, "With the Baylor Bears' matchup odds in Week 1 shifting away from Auburn, there are doubts about whether Freeze will finish this season on the sidelines. DJ Durkin looms as a potential interim head coach fill-in if things go awry, and this offseason has seen controversy after controversy -- from Freeze's golf addiction going viral to the Malcolm Simmons domestic violence charges."

Voodoo Land (Jordan-Hare) will not save a demoralized Auburn team in November, as Alabama Football makes it six straight wins over the Tigers.

10 (or more) Alabama Football Regular Season Wins

In addition, I now project Alabama Football to win at least 10 regular-season games. The bold, not-crazy prediction is not unique. In early July, Derek Peterson of Saturday Down South listed Alabama as one of his "best bets to crack 10 wins." Peterson reminds us that 10-win teams are historically great teams. If the two of us are correct about the Crimson Tide, 2025 will be the 17th time, going back to 2008, that Alabama has been great enough to win 10 or more games. The 16 straight 10-win seasons under Nick Saban is an NCAA record.

Matt Melton of Roll Tide Wire has the Crimson Tide winning 11 regular-season games. The experts who disagree with Matt, Peterson, and me often focus on 'iffy' predictions about Ty Simpson. I believe Simpson will go from unproven to solid quickly. Simpson might become a great QB during the season, but that is not a requirement for Alabama to win 10 games.
