Alabama already got some good news with the 2027 class this week, with the commitment of 4-star QB Trent Seaborn, and then predictions coming in for 5-star QB Elijah Haven to ultimately choose the Crimson Tide as well. More could be on the horizon in the coming weeks.
4-star CB Raylaun Henry announced a commitment date of November 15th on Tuesday. That's noteworthy because the announcement came immediately after Henry was in Tuscaloosa to visit Alabama while the Crimson Tide beat up on Tennessee in front of a raucous Bryant-Denny environment this past weekend.
Alabama is one of five finalists for Henry, joined by Texas A&M, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Penn State.

Industry experts view the Crimson Tide, Aggies, and Buckeyes as the favorites. Henry is a consensus Top 100 player in the class, ranked as the No. 69 overall player in the 2027 class in the 247 composite.
Henry is a Baltimore native and plays high school football at St. Frances Academy. He's a high school teammate of 5-star 2026 Alabama commitment Jireh Edwards, which could give the Crimson Tide an edge in earning his signature when things are said and done.
Raylaun Henry would be another elite prospect to add to Alabama's secondary
Maurice Linguist has recruited defensive backs at an absurdly high level since becoming the Crimson Tide's DBs coach. In the 2025 cycle, Linguist helped Alabama land 5-star CB Dijon Lee, and 4-stars Ivan Taylor and Chuck McDonald.
In the 2026 cycle, Alabama has commitments from 5-stars Jireh Edwards and Jorden Edmonds, along with 4-star Zyan Gibson, and 3-star Rihyael Kelley. That's not to mention former 5-star Zabien Brown, who will be a true junior on next season's team.
The depth and talent in Alabama's secondary stack up with any program in the country right now. Alabama's willingness to rotate bodies only helps. It shows guys like Henry that there will be an opportunity to get on the field quickly if you do things the right way.
Dijon Lee came into a crowded secondary and immediately carved out a role. He earned his first career start last weekend against Tennessee. It's the second year in a row a freshman CB has earned a significant role. Brown was a day-one starter as a freshman a year ago.
Alabama's 2027 class currently ranks No. 7 in the country with four commitments.
