The heat has been cranked up on the recruitment of 3-star CB Preston Glasco out of Loganville, Georgia. Glasco had been committed to UConn since June, but a trio of SEC teams made him a priority target, and it seemed unlikely that the Huskies would be able to hang on to him.
On Tuesday night, Glasco officially decommitted from UConn:

Glasco is expected to make a decision on his future rather quickly. It's a three-way battle between Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Alabama has a big opportunity to make a move with his official visit set for this weekend.
Alabama is battling Georgia and South Carolina for 3-star CB Preston Glasco
Glasco picked up an offer from Alabama a few weeks ago. He was in Tuscaloosa for the season-opener against ECU and quickly set up a return trip for his official during the South Carolina game this weekend. Glasco took an official trip to Georgia on September 12th for the Bulldogs' home game, and he took an official visit to the home-state school back in June.
Glasco was in Columbia last weekend to visit South Carolina.
Alabama has a big opportunity in front of it to close on Glasco this weekend. He fits the mold of the type of long, developmental corners that Maurice Linguist covets. He's just shy of 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds.
Glasco is a consensus 3-star recruit who will likely continue to climb up the rankings as things get updated. His senior film has been impressive so far, which has cranked up his recruitment with Alabama and South Carolina joining Georgia in pursuing a flip.
Step one of the flip is complete with Glasco backing off his UConn pledge. Now, Alabama will look to knock his official visit out of the park and get him to join the Crimson Tide's 2027 recruiting class.
If Alabama can land Glasco, he would be the second high-upside corner to join in this cycle. Alabama landed 3-star Darrius White, also a Georgia native, back in June.
Alabama has been in hot pursuit of flips in the last couple of weeks. Over the weekend, the Tide successfully flipped 3-star DL Kavarris "Duke" Duncan, who had been committed to Tulane. The Alabama native picked up an offer from the Tide during his visit for the Florida State game, and he wasted little time in joining the class.
Alabama is also going after 3-star DL Joshua Lane, who recently backed off his commitment to Tulane after visiting the Crimson Tide last weekend. Lane is expected back in Tuscaloosa for an official visit for the Texas A&M game on October 24th.
All three fit the bill of cheaper, high-upside options that Alabama wants more of in the 2027 recruiting cycle. This was never going to be a class they invested heavily in, but the staff has proven adept at finding diamonds in the rough that others miss.
As much as Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina are showing to covet Glasco, it's clear that the SEC trio are a lot higher on him than the recruiting rankings.
