And then there were three.
Alabama's already small 2027 recruiting class just took another hit. 3-star CB Nash Johnson decommitted from the Crimson Tide on Wednesday in a move that has been expected for some time:

Johnson committed to Alabama back in October, but it has been expected for a while now that he would not end up in the Crimson Tide's 2027 recruiting class. The writing was on the wall with no visit scheduled for the spring/summer, and the Georgia native has been flirting heavily with rival Auburn in recent weeks.
Nash Johnson's decommitment leaves only 3 in Alabama's 2027 class
Alabama's 2027 class has dwindled down to three with the latest decommitment.
With Johnson out, Alabama has commitments from 4-star QB Trent Seaborn and 3-star TE's Colt Lumpris and Oakley Keegan, though Lumpris' status with the Crimson Tide is tenuous at best with a host of official visits set up elsewhere in the coming months.
Better days are ahead for Alabama, though another slow start on the recruiting trail is nonetheless frustrating.
Alabama has been in a similar position in each of the last two years under Kalen DeBoer, and he's managed to ultimately sign Top 5 recruiting classes in both cycles. You shouldn't expect anything less this time around, either.
Alabama has some of the most talented players in the country coming to campus in the coming weeks and months as they position themselves for another monster recruiting run over the summer.
For now, rivals will poke fun at the three commitments and a class that ranks sub-40 in the country, but how soon they forget that they did the same thing this time a year ago before DeBoer and company got on the trail and reeled in one of the best classes in the country.
In any case, some good news on the recruiting trail would be welcomed any day now.
