The Alabama Football team has landed it's first uncommitted prospect of the day as four-star edge rusher Steve Mboumoua committed and signed with the Alabama Football team. The Cameroon native came to Canada to prepare for college football and ended up committing to the Alabama Football program via Instagram live.

Alabama Football was a favorite for Mboumoua throughout the entire process as Defensive Line Coach Freddie Roach built a solid relationship with the defensive end. Mboumoua will have an opportunity to compete alongside transfer LT Overton for starting defensive end reps as Chris Braswell and Dallas Turner are expected to depart for the NFL Draft.

The Alabama Football team has risen to second in the 247 class rankings behind only the Georgia Bulldogs. The addition of the four star edge in Mboumoua will help Alabama as it competes to climb to pass Georgia for the Top Class. If Alabama can flip some massive recruits like Kevin Riley, Eddrick Houston, Aeryn Hampton, and others they may end up surpassing the Bulldogs for the Nation's number one class for a second year in a row.

Alabama Football: Edge room revamped in one week

As the offseason nears the most glaring need was edge rusher as the Alabama Football team fully expects to lose both starters for the NFL Draft. In less than a week Nick Saban has landed Jayshawn Ross, LT Overton, and Steve Mboumoua bringing much-needed talent and depth to the weakest position group on paper for 2024. The Alabama Football team still has a chance at adding a monster in five-star edge rusher Eddrick Houston who's committed to Ohio State but, is one of the biggest candidates for a signature Nick Saban flip. Houston will announce his decision at Noon central time and could be one of the biggest dominoes for early signing day.
