The Alabama Football team landed a massive transfer in USC Cornerback Domani Jackson. Jackson visited the Alabama Football team at their practice on Thursday and the visit seemingly sealed the deal for the fifteenth-ranked recruit in the class of 2022. Jackson will likely enter 2024 as the top cornerback on the Alabama defense with the departures of Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold.

Cornerback was a massive position of need for the Alabama Football program entering this offseason with the aforementioned departures upcoming. Nick Saban said on the Pat McAfee show that they view the transfer portal similar to how NFL free agency works.

The Alabama football team has now addressed its two biggest needs with Domani Jackson and LT Overton, who will step in and be instant impact players for an Alabama defense with uncertainties for 2024. Opposite of Jackson, Alabama will likely look to a freshman or younger player with Earl Little, Zabien Brown, and Jaylen Mbakwe as way-too-early front runners. Jackson has two years of eligibility remaining should he choose to stay for a second season at Alabama.

The Alabama football team will likely have more holes to address once the season ends with more transfers to depart the program following the completion of the season.

Alabama Football: Big Game Fishing in the transfer portal

The Alabama Football program has now landed two of the biggest names in the transfer portal defensively. LT Overton was ranked the 2nd best defensive lineman while Domani Jackson was ranked the third corner in the transfer portal. Alabama Football could add even more experience and solidify the secondary by pursuing Georgia transfer A.J. Harris who's ranked the second-best corner. Harris is an Alabama native and former five-star coming off of his freshman season for the Bulldogs. Alabama may also be in play for additional edge help whether it's from Jackson's former teammate Korey Foreman or another top edge rusher to help replace Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell.
