Crimson Tide adds another talented linebacker to the 2025 recruiting class
When it's all said and done, Alabama Football's 2025 signing class at linebacker may be one of the most talented groups in the country as Kalen DeBoer and Kane Wommack added another talented player in Luke Metz.
The Georgia native is a three-star recruit and the 60th-ranked linebacker in the country. Metz chose the Tide over LSU, Ole Miss, and Michigan with Ole Miss being the early favorite for Metz. The Tide offered Metz early on in March and made up a ton of ground on Ole Miss to land him.
The commitment of Metz jumps the Alabama recruiting class from eighth to sixth, jumping Oklahoma and Auburn in the process. The new staff has done an incredible job with the 2025 recruiting class early on, inheriting a class ranked in the mid-30s and now sitting just outside the top five.
When offered by Alabama, Metz said the following about the school:

At linebacker, the signing class is loaded with Metz joining Darrell Johnson, Myles Johnson, and Abduall Sanders Jr.
The commitment of Metz comes after a busy recruiting weekend in Tuscaloosa with DeBoer's staff hosting several 2025 and 2026 recruits. The Tide still sit in a great position to add several highly touted players with a crystal ball for Quanell Farrakhan Jr and a crystal ball for a re-commitment for Zion Grady.
Recruiting Visits have stood out
Nearly every weekend this spring, Kalen DeBoer and his staff have hosted recruits with the number of players and amount of talent on these visits coming at a shocking clip. The message from every player coming out of their visit has been how impressive practice is to watch, how impressive the new staff is, and how impressive the facilities are. Even the biggest Kalen DeBoer supporters could have never imagined the level he's recruiting at right now, but nothing will be final until signing day.
