The 2025 NFL Draft is next month. We've gotten past the NFL Combine and all eyes will next be on Pro Days across the country. Alabama football's Pro Day will take place in Tuscaloosa on March 19th.
LB Jihaad Campbell, OG Tyler Booker, and QB Jalen Milroe are the three Crimson Tide players in contention for the first couple of rounds of the draft. Campbell wowed scouts with his athleticism and likely locked himself into the first round because of it.
A lot of mock drafts get updated in the aftermath of the NFL Combine. ESPN's Jordan Reid put out his updated mock draft on Tuesday morning. You do need an ESPN+ subscription to read the full mock draft.
Reid has two Alabama players in his mock draft, both of whom are selected within the first 20 picks. Reid has OG Tyler Booker going 18th overall to the Seattle Seahawks and LB Jihaad Campbell going 19th overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Both Booker and Campbell have likely solidified themselves as first round picks with strong showings in Indianapolis last week. Booker has been mocked as high as No. 13 to the Miami Dolphins. I believe Reid is still undervaluing Campbell and that he could go much higher than 19th.
Jalen Milroe not included in latest ESPN Mock Draft
Alabama QB Jalen Milroe is not included in ESPN's latest two-round mock draft. The Crimson Tide signal caller has first round aspirations, but as of now he's seen as more likely a third rounder than a first rounder.
Milroe did some good things at the combine and showed off his arm strength and deep ball accuracy.
Alabama's Pro Day on March 19th will be key for Milroe as he looks to work himself back into the first round discussion. Luckily for him, the QB position is one of the most over-drafted positions in the NFL; teams frequently reach for signal callers as everything comes down to the QB position at the next level.
Milroe is talented enough to develop into a quality starter at the next level. He's one of the best athletes in the draft, but will need time to develop as a passer. He has all the physical tools. He just needs a little patience from whichever teams picks him.
