Business is about to be booming in Tuscaloosa. Kalen DeBoer and his staff have Alabama in prime position to land some of the top prospects in the country for the 2026 recruiting class. The Crimson Tide's massive official visit schedule begins this weekend with a plethora of elite prospects making their way to the Capstone.
Right now, Alabama only has five commitments for 2026. This time last year, they only had four heading into the summer. Just like last year, a big summer is expected, and it's only a matter of time before the Tide goes on a big recruiting run.
Predictions have been rolling in for Alabama to land elite prospects. They are in contention for many of the top uncommitted prospects in the nation, and some already committed elsewhere. Here are three likely to join Alabama's class in the coming weeks, along with a bonus bold prediction.
Alabama could be adding three or four more 5-stars to its 2026 class soon
WR Cederian Morgan (Alexander City, AL)
Cederian Morgan will be in Tuscaloosa for an official visit over the weekend of June 20th. The 5-star in-state WR has set a commitment date for July 2nd. Alabama has the lead for Morgan going into official visit season and recently picked up a prediction to land him.
Most have seen this as a two-horse race between the in-state schools, but along with Alabama and Auburn, Morgan has visits set up with Georgia and Florida. He took an official earlier in May to Colorado.
Morgan is part of Kalen DeBoer's big in-state push for the 2026 cycle.
RB Ezavier Crowell (Jackson, AL)
The 5-star RB reclassified into the 2026 class, and most pundits have believed Alabama was the team to beat from the get-go. Like Morgan, the Crimson Tide recently picked up a prediction to land Crowell.
Crowell will be in Tuscaloosa the same weekend as Morgan. They will also be joined by 5-star Edge Anthony "Tank" Jones. Between them, they make up the top three prospects in the state of Alabama for 2026. According to the On3 RPM, Alabama leads for all three.
Crowell is currently set to make his decision on June 26th, just a few days after his official visit with the Crimson Tide.
Things can change on his upcoming visits, but Alabama is the heavy favorite to land the stud running back.
LB Xavier Griffin (Gainesville, GA)
Alabama has been trending for 5-star LB Xavier Griffin ever since he decommitted from USC. On Wednesday, the Crimson Tide picked up a prediction from On3's Steve Wiltfong to land Griffin.
Griffin has drawn comparisons to former Tide LB Jihaad Campbell, who just got selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first-round of the NFL Draft.
Griffin is scheduled to be in Columbus this weekend for an official visit, but he already called off a planned visit to Georgia. He's scheduled to visit Alabama on the weekend of June 6th. I would expect that to be his final visit.
S Jett Washington (Las Vegas, NV)
The first three feel like safe bets at this point. This one is a bold prediction with no direct knowledge. 5-star safety Jett Washington will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for his official visit. When he was last in town for an unofficial, the Tide was in a good place in his recruitment.
Things have swung toward Oregon, but DeBoer and the staff have proven to know how to host these visits. I expect a full-court press for Washington and for the Crimson Tide to make a significant push in his recruitment.
Alabama defensive back coach Maurice Linguist is a terrific relationship builder, and his track record in developing talent speaks for itself.
I expect there to be a surprise or two as Alabama's class begins to take off. My bet is on Washington being one of the big surprises for DeBoer.
