Kalen DeBoer and Alabama have gotten off to a running start in the 2028 recruiting cycle. With seven commitments already, the Crimson Tide currently holds the No. 1 class in the composite rankings.
After a "down" cycle in 2027, DeBoer and Alabama appear to be on track to sign another elite class, similar to what they brought in during the 2025 and 2026 cycles.
Two of the seven commitments are quarterbacks as Alabama's pipeline at the position continues. 4-star Kingston Preyear and 3-star Charles Scott Jr. look like elite prospects at the position. Now, Alabama is looking for some pass-catchers.
One of the top wide receivers in the 2028 class is 5-star Braylon Clark from Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He's ranked as the No. 12 overall player in the composite rankings, and he'll have his choice of wherever he wants to go to school.
Alabama will have an opportunity to make a significant move in his recruitment on October 10th when he's in Tuscaloosa for a game-day visit:

5-star WR Braylon Clark to take a visit to Alabama on October 10th
October 10th is going to be a massive recruiting weekend for the Crimson Tide. That's the date of the Georgia game, which is sure to bring a raucous crowd to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Those are the kind of environments you always want recruits to see and experience, and it's no surprise that Alabama has scheduled quite a few elite visitors for that weekend.
Clark has the size and physical tools to be an immediate difference-maker at the college level at just under 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds.
His stock really took off after an outstanding sophomore season. He put up 65 catches for 1093 yards and 12 touchdowns last year, which cemented his status as one of the top prospects in the 2028 recruiting cycle.
Ohio State will be tough to beat for Clark. Alongside Oregon, the Buckeyes have long been viewed as the favorite in his recruitment. It's not a coincidence that he's lined up two game-day visits to Columbus for Ohio State games this fall.
He'll also take trips to LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, and Oregon.
Alabama is probably on the outside looking in at the moment, but you always have a puncher's chance if you can get a prospect on campus. Perhaps a game-day visit to Tuscaloosa will be what DeBoer and company need to start turning the Tide in his recruitment.
