Does the return of Kadyn Proctor give Alabama Football the Nation's top line?

One of the most valuable pieces Kalen DeBoer added from Washington was center Parker Brailsford. As a redshirt freshman Brailsford was arguably the best center in college football, earning a second-team All-Pac 12 award for his performance. The only player who graded better than Brailsford in PFF's run-blocking metrics is potential first-round pick Jackson Powers-Johnson. The experience and talent of Brailsford will elevate the offensive line in 2024 and will offset what could have been massive losses in Seth McLaughlin and Terrance Ferguson.

No one took advantage of his first season as a starter more than right guard Jaeden Roberts who started ten games at right guard. Roberts comes in as Pro-Football Focus's seventh-ranked interior offensive lineman landing all three Alabama interior linemen in the top seven of college football. Roberts is a mauler in the run game leading the guard position in run grade with a 78.9 grade. The size and skill of Roberts will help whichever tackle wins out on the right side of the line.

The only position on the line that is up for grabs is at right tackle. There will be stiff competition between several highly touted players. The frontrunner will be rising sophomore Elijah Pritchett a five-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class. Pritchett has the most experience of the group after spelling Kadyn Proctor at times in 2023. Miles McVay will be in serious contention at the position as a former four-star recruit in the 2023 class. McVay was penciled in as the starter at right tackle before Proctor's return. The last name contending for a starting role will be Tuscaloosa Native Wilkin Formby a former four-star recruit from the 2023 recruiting class.

Maulers up front will lead to dominant Alabama Football Rushing attack

While many are excited for the passing attack of Kalen DeBoer in 2024 many should be excited about the potential of the rushing attack. A group of highly talented run blockers up front will make it easy for the Tide to run, despite a group of inexperienced running backs. Added to that is the growth of Jalen Milroe as a running threat which took center stage in the 2023 LSU game. Alabama Football will have a group of relatively unproven, receivers, allowing for the rushing attack to become the focal point of the team early in the year.
