The Alabama Football program has been pursuing Maddox since early on in 2022 with the new staff continuing their push for Maddox. The defensive lineman is the 29th-ranked player at the position and the ninth-ranked recruit out of Mississippi. Ole Miss will be the team to beat here as Maddox's father Anthony Sr played College Football with Pete Golding.

It'll be tough for the Alabama Football staff to land the four-star back out of Louisiana however, the new staff is making a push. The Tide played host to Simon this weekend in a loaded recruiting weekend. Simon is the eighth-ranked running back in the class and the 163rd-ranked player overall. Even if Simon commits early to his hometown LSU I'd expect Alabama to be in this recruitment until signing day.

The 6’3 215 LB from Overland Park, KS is ranked as a Top 85 Recruit in the ‘25 Class (No. 8 LB) per On3

The talented linebacker is another prospect that Alabama may be in a great position to land. The linebacker took his first visit to Tuscaloosa late in March and plans to plan an official visit soon. Merritt is the ninth-ranked linebacker in the class and the 61st-ranked player overall. Landing Merritt would give Alabama two of the top ten linebackers in the class along with Darrell Johnson, 24th-ranked Myles Johnson, 37th-ranked Abduall Sanders, and 61st-ranked linebacker Luke Metz.
