The NFL Draft is finally here. After months of prognosticating and projecting, draft destinations for college football's brightest stars will be revealed over the next three days.
The NFL Draft gets started on Thursday night in Pittsburgh with the first round. The second and third rounds take place on Friday, with the final four rounds taking place on Saturday.
Alabama has a plethora of NFL Draft hopefuls who have been doing everything they can since the season ended to get on the radar of teams.
For Thursday night, the expectation is that Alabama has two legitimate first-rounders: OT Kadyn Proctor and then QB Ty Simpson, with WR Germie Bernard as a wildcard to hear his name called.
Proctor is a safe bet to hear his name called within the first 32 picks to extend Alabama's NFL record 1st Round pick streak to 18 consecutive seasons.
Simpson is a bit more unknown. He has a wide range of possibilities as the consensus No. 2 QB on the board behind Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, the presumptive No. 1 overall pick. The expectation from most experts is that some team will trade back into the late first-round range in order to select Simpson.
12 Crimson Tide players will enter the next three days hoping to hear their names called. If any go undrafted, they should quickly land a free-agent deal with a chance to make a roster in Training Camp and the Preseason.
